in Jakrata

and we miss this feature

We are working on an Open Source rating system that aim at easing
integration with existing billing systems.
A few weeks ago we started teaming with other projects and developers to
have more use cases covered and enhance the current code base.
If you want to have a look, the code is there:
https://github.com/stackforge/cloudkitty

We're planning on having some informal sessions at the next summit in
Paris. Feel free to join us if you've got any questions, or just to
check where the project is heading.

Velvica has built a very nice system that integrates with Ceilometer and
has its own billing system or can integrate with an existing one. It
provides simple integration with Horizon and looks good in the testing
we've done. We tested it on Icehouse.

While not a billing system. Rackspace (and some others) use StackTach to collect accurate (and verified) usage data from Nova and Glance.
